Dr. Boyce sees nearly all (non-emergent) acute and chronic conditions in his telemedicine practice.
I offer comprehensive telemedicine health care for infants, toddlers, and teens. I focus on wellness and preventative medicine, but I also use safe and effective natural medicines to treat a broad spectrum of childhood health concerns. I also emphasize parent education, be it on vaccinations to natural alternatives to antibiotics for ear infections. During your pediatric visits, I will take a thorough history and possibly order lab testing. There will always be time for parent and child to ask questions during the visits. Treatments are gentle, safe and efficient. Teens may email questions directly to Dr. Boyce (with the understanding that email is not 100% secure). Teens may seek some parent-free time during visits to ask sensitive questions

More and more patients are leery of conventional pain management due to fears of opioid addiction and liver toxicity. Even the long-term use of commonly used over-the-counter medications such as Tylenol and Ibuprofen have been linked to gastrointestinal issues. I work with patients to come up with alternative pain management options, ranging from natural anti-inflammatories to topical treatments.
Many Americans struggle with weight management as they succumb to yo-yo dieting, unrealistic goals, and promises of “miracle” weight loss strategies. My holistic weight management programs are customized to your health and goals while taking into consideration why your body is resistant to losing weight. Your weight management program may also include dietary counseling, correcting nutrient deficiencies, improving digestion, treating food sensitivities, optimizing blood sugar control as well as an exercise prescription. Occasionally I refer patients to holistic counselors if I am concerned that weight management is negatively influenced by stress eating and using food as a stress coping mechanism. Addressing the emotional/mental aspect of weight and body image is key to sustainable weight management.
Dietary Counseling and Therapeutic Nutrition
Hippocrates said, “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.” It is amazing how much our diets can influence our health and how we feel. Dietary recommendations will be based on symptoms you are experiencing, your general health and a complete evaluation of your diet, which means that you will complete a “diet diary” (you can pick this up at the office or download it from the patient handouts page) for me to review. Your diet can be the reason why you are experiencing fatigue, vitamin deficiencies, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, allergies, gout, diabetes, hypoglycemia, eczema, fatty liver, ADHD, and osteoporosis.
Food Allergy Testing and Comprehensive Digestive Care
Food Sensitivity Testing is a blood test that measures food and environmental allergens to identify triggers that are responsible for symptoms. I have helped countless patients improve allergy symptoms, eczema and IBS symptoms (diarrhea, constipation, abdominal cramps, gas and bloating). This test is ideal for patients who have felt “allergic” to a substance that could not be identified through standard skin scratch testing. In addition to identifying the cause of allergy symptoms and poor digestion, plans are tailored to healing the intestinal lining and improving digestion. We can also work together to get your off acid-blockers that are preventing adequate absorption of nutrients and can predispose patients to osteopenia/osteoporosis.
Detox Program and Environmental Medicine
It is nearly impossible to avoid some form of exposure to chemicals and toxins. Over time these toxins and chemicals may accumulate in our bodies causing a myriad number of health issues. Environmental medicine focuses on supporting the body’s detoxification pathways reducing the body’s toxic and chemical burdens. I have customized many detox regiments for patients as part of their journey to living their healthiest life.
I no longer authorize patients to use cannabis in Washington state. I do however consult with patients and give lectures on the medical application of cannabis. I am also the Chief Medical Officer of both Wise Buds LLC and Emerald Medical Research & Development, two cannabis production and research organizations based in Washington state. As one who has personally experienced and observed professionally in patients the therapeutic effect of cannabis, I am committed to promoting the scientific evidence validating the medicinal value of this incredibly powerful plant. Most cannabis patients that I consult with are not merely seeking to get high under the guise of a medical affliction – instead, they are searching for relief and finding it with cannabis, sometimes as a last, desperate resort. More than one million registered cannabis patients have seen improvement in seizures, autism, cancer, chronic pain, muscle spasms, insomnia, anxiety, depression, and more with cannabis. And those are just the people in legal states who are registered.
